Converting Documents to PDFs

Today’s Topic: Converting Documents to PDFs

Who? Users who want share documents with others.

Why? PDFs allow you to share a document ensuring that the formatting (font, margins, etc.) stay the same and cannot be edited by the receiver AND guarantees that the receiver will be able to read the document as long as they have Adobe Reader installed on their computer, which most everyone does. (If not, Adobe Reader is a free downloadable program from the web.) In fact, our Print Shop prefers that you send PDFs when requesting copies. Uploading PDFs to your SWIFT site and sending PDFs of your newsletter home to parents ensures that parents and students will be able to access and read the document even if they don’t have Word, etc.

How? Watch this short screencast:

Note: This demonstration features Windows 7 operating system and Office 2007—different software will yield different results.
